Service Description

Birth Doula Package includes: x5 two hour in home prenatal meetings/ birth preparation ~Birth education ~Birth planning ~Ayurvedic birth preparation ~Pregnancy massage and prenatal belly binding ~Optimal maternal positioning ~Rebozo work to aid in supporting optimal fetal positioning ~Supporting partner/ older children who may be attending birth On call availability from 37 weeks onward ~Available to be called into the birth space Birth attendance Be tenderly held with gentleness, love, and care ~Tending gently to needs of the mother as they arise ~Supporting partner and older children within the birth space ~Advocating for the mother/ family's birth preferences ~Providing Ayurvedic food and drink to mother throughout labour ~Gently weaving various skills into the space (massage, rebozo work, movement, optimal maternal positioning, supporting various labour and birthing positions) ~Supporting natural physiological birth of baby and placenta Early postpartum care ~Supporting ‘the golden hour’ ~Supporting latching and breastfeeding ~Preservation of placenta (if lotus birth/ placenta burial is desired) ~Facilitation of cord cutting/ burning if desired ~Preparing Ayurvedic postpartum meals and teas for mother ~Supporting the mother’s rest ~Tending to older children x3 three hour postpartum home visits ~Offered within the first week postpartum ~Birth story debriefing ~Postpartum abhyanga Ayurvedic oil massage ~Postpartum belly binding ~Breastfeeding support ~Ayurvedic postpartum meal package delivery ~May also include light housework, and caring for baby whilst mother showers/ eats/ rests Optional additions ~Option to have Siobhan attend any scans or prenatal appointments during your pregnancy ~Complimentary birth pool hire (see 'Birth Pool Bundle Hire') if birthing at home Investment: $2500 *In-home postpartum care packages can be added onto Birth Doula Package (see ‘Postpartum Offerings’) *Payment plans available upon request *Please note travel fees will apply for travel that exceeds 30km outside of Wistow, Adelaide Hills ~ Siobhan supports homebirth and hospital birth, and advocates for natural physiological birth.
